Here in Memphis we had a little bit of an ice storm. Nothing extremely dangerous, but the roads were icy and the temp fell to 20 degrees. The funk hit the fan on Friday afternoon so my weekend plans were shut down. Instead of meeting with my new writing group for a critique session I was sucked into a weekend marathon of TV sitcoms. I LOVE sitcoms, especially the oldies but goodies: The Golden Girls, Living Single and The Cosby Show were on deck. I also watched quite a few of the episodes of The Real Husbands of Hollywood that were piled up on my DVR. Hilarious. Eventually, I tore myself away from the television and hot cocoa and got around to going over the returned edits for the anthology I’m participating in. Super excited about that! I also finished a great book that I plan to review later this week. So be on the lookout for that coming soon. That’s it. Just a rambling post about a chick with cabin fever in the middle of an ice storm. I love my family, but I’ll be happy to brave the icy streets tomorrow for work. I need to see some new faces!
